The green tiger eye is a mineral from the group of quartz. The gemstone appears in many different colors such as in yellow-brown, red-brown, blue-gray or green. The tiger eye owes its name to the catīs eye effect. The stone is treated by a so-called cabochon cut which creates a light reflection that strongly resembles the eye of a tiger.
